When we flew back into the US from Rome last December, it just so happened there was a snow storm in Texas. Apparently, there’s only snow maybe once a year in this part of the country….talk about terrible timing! We ended up being laid over in Atlanta for about a day and a half. These pictures were taken as we walked out of the airport in Dallas. Boy, was I happy to be home!
Journaling reads: It felt so good to be home after being stuck halfway across the country for almost 2 days. Atlanta was great, but we were running out of clean clothes to wear! It was surprising to see the powder white landscape as the plane landed even though we were well aware of the preceding storm. California weather is next to perfect, but I can also appreciate the midwest with its changing seasons…a winter wonderland for now…
I used some older products for this layout. The chipboard butterflies are from the Pink Paislee “Artisan” collection — they come with a resist pattern, but I decided to leave them unaltered. The resin flower is from Maggie Holmes’ “Flea Market” line. The tiny pink tag is from October Afternoon “Travel Girl”. The brads are Dear Lizzy “5th & Frolic”, while the label sticker with the title is from Dear Lizzy “Lucky Charm”. As for the papers, I used Studio Calico “Printshop” Sunday Best for the background. The strip with the camera motif is from Allison Kreft for Webster’s Pages “Composition & Color”.
I’ve decided to enter this layout for a challenge on Corrie Jones’ blog. Every 8th of the month, she challenges readers to create a layout about themselves. You have the entire month to participate. Corrie’s layouts are amazing, btw! Great inspiration to be found there.
