One of the things I was sorely disappointed about during my first trip to Paris in 2012 was not eating a good crepe. Our trip took place in August–the month of traveling for many locals (a fact we missed at the time we booked the trip). So….unfortunately, many of the restaurants and cafes I had eagerly planned to try were not open. The fiancé and I resorted to a creperie in a more touristy part of town on the very last day of our trip. It was the only crepe we had in Paris, and it wasn’t very good at all…BUT we made up for it during our last Paris excursion at La Creperie Bretonne. They were one of the few better-rated creperies open (many restaurants in Paris also aren’t in business on Sundays and Mondays), and we were not disappointed in the least. Both the savory and dessert crepes were absolutely delicious. I’m still salivating for the salted caramel drizzle….
I really wanted to use the Dear Lizzy “5th & Frolic” 4×6 Project Life card on this layout because it’s one of the few items I have in navy. Of course, the corners of the card are rounded, so I decided to also round the corners of the photos to match. There’s a mix of embellishments on this page. The mason jars are fussy cut from a Dear Lizzy “Lucky Charm” patterned paper. I’ve used the mason jars on several other food-related pages in this album already. There’s also some Maggie Holmes “Flea Market”, Amy Tangerine “Cut & Paste”, and Freckled Fawn elements.
