Day two of my maternity leave and the second layout I made…
It’s been super gloomy in Texas, so the photo quality isn’t great. Anyways, this layout is about a concert my husband and I went to last year. I love concerts. My husband? Not so much. As a compromise, we stood in the back of the venue where it wasn’t too crowded. The band was awesome! They have so many catchy songs I love to sing along with.
I’m still using the Studio Calico “Odyssey” kit from March 2015. There’s actually more than one item from that kit on this page, including a few patterned papers and a couple of embellishments. I’ve been loving the blue and orange/yellow color combo lately!
I used this layout for the A Cherry on Top December “Spelling Challenge” in case anyone’s wondering 🙂
Hello lovelies 🙂 I’ve been busy crafting, so I’ll have some new layouts to share over the next few days. My layout today has a lot of bright, fun colors using several elements from Amy Tangerine’s “Cut & Paste” line.
There are a few sticker elements from “Cut & Paste” as well as the background paper. The embroidery floss that creates the stitched border around the page is also from Amy Tangerine. Another fun element are the “photo corners” around the picture–they’re actually cut from a Dear Lizzy polaroid frame. Accentuating the corners of the photo really helped it stand out amongst all the orange in the page.
The story: My iPhone was a serious lifesaver in Europe when we couldn’t get internet without be charged an arm and a leg for roaming. Everyone else in my party has Android phones, so I was the sole iPhoner. Even with my data being off (i.e. no roaming), the GPS was still able to map my location and surrounding areas–very helpful walking around in an unknown city!! Not only did my friends not have iPhones, but they are very anti-Apple products. So, I was happy that my Apple-produced phone came in handy so many times when the need for directions called.
