Here’s another sketch layout! I made this one for Life.Paper.Scrapbook’s January sketch:
Instead of following the sketch exactly, I tried to do a loose grid design across the center of the page. I did, however, follow the sketch in my photo placement although the size of my photo is slightly larger than specified. I also used some scraps from my last layout since they’ll be in different albums. Yay to not wasting paper!
The picture is of our car under a couple inches of ice and snow. My fiancé and I were more than surprised to find our car in this state when we came back from our trip to Europe late last year. We had parked the car in an outdoor lot of a hotel since it was cheaper to park there than at the airport. Neither of us had ever lived in an area with snow, so we had no idea what to do. I used an old gift card while my fiancé used keys to chip away slowly at the ice. We did not have gloves with us and, soon, our hands got too cold work properly. Good thing my fiancé thought to seek help at the hotel where we were loaned an ice pick (at least, I think that’s what the contraption is called) — much more useful than a gift card and keys! We were able to clear the ice from the windshields to drive home safely. If we ever travel during the winter again, we’ll be sure to park in the indoor lot!
For this travel album, I’ve decided to use the Dear Lizzy “Lucky Charm” collection. You’ll find bits and pieces of the collection on every page for probably the next month at least 🙂 I will also be scrapping all the pages for this album in reverse chronological order (shocker!)….Really, the only reason I’m doing this is because my photos just so happened to be organized this way in the folder….Hope it works out!
