Layout Share: River Walk

Hello again!  It’s been a few days since I’ve posted because I went on a mini trip to San Francisco over the weekend.  The main purpose of the trip was for my first wedding gown fitting.  The gown is being custom made, so it was actually my first time seeing the design.  I was speechless after putting on the dress…not because I was so happy but because the design was NOT what I had in mind at all!  It was basically a princess ball gown when I was aiming for more of a soft and romantic look.  A total disaster!  I requested some changes, so hopefully it will look better next time (crossing fingers and toes!!).

But, enough about my life and onto the crafty side of things.  The layout I will be sharing today is another from my short trip to San Antonio in January.  If you don’t do anything else in San Antonio, you have to go to the River Walk–a shopping and dining strip along the San Antonio River.  We went in the evening and were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the lights and the tree-lined river.  The highlights of the evening were the table-side guacamole at Boudro’s and the River Cruise.  Our cruise guide had tons of fun stories and facts to keep us entertained for the entire hour of the tour.

RiverwalkThe grid pattern is the boldest element on the page and is from a Studio Calico “Printshop” patterned paper.  I used the remainder of the patterned paper on the opposing page containing a few more photos from the night in a divided page protector.  I wasn’t able to take a good picture of the opposing page, so I might share it another day.  I kept this layout pretty simple because the photo is already a little busy.   Just a few “Printshop” rub-on stars, a bit of Heidi Swapp Gold Lame mist, a hand-drawn border, and the last bits of the star transparency were used to embellish.

Thanks for stopping by, and have an awesome weekend everyone! –Tina
